The Mooresville Board of Commissioners on Tuesday unanimously approved an economic stimulus agreement for Battle Copacking, Inc. To build a new 128,000 square foot facility in Deerfield Business Park.

Chad Thomas, director of business development at Iredell Economic Development Corp.

The incentive amount will be divided proportionally based on the actual amount invested. Thomas said annexation in the city is required to pay the stimulus. Battle Copacking, a company that provides packaging solutions to innovative beer, beverage, food and liquor makers, will build a state-of-the-art co-packing facility, Thomas said.

Battle Copacking, a new business of Battle Packaging, LLC, will provide services to both existing and new Battle Packaging customers.

Battle Packaging, headquartered in Atlanta, has been in the beverage packaging sector for more than 40 years. Thomas said the Mooresville facility will serve beverage brands by filling various types of beverages ranging from classic soda, flavored sodas, and ready-to-drink energy drinks.
