We’ve all heard of the OnlyFans phenomenon. The site emerged in 2016 as a subscription service, providing a somewhat controversial platform for adult content creators, YouTubers, fitness trainers, models, public figures and anyone else looking to increase their net worth through the media. Since its inception, the site has collectively paid them $5 billion.

Running such a business requires ingenuity, determination and flexibility – all traits possessed by Amrapali “Ami” Gan. On December 21, 2021, OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely resigned and was immediately succeeded by Mumbai-born Gan, who at the time was already a powerful marketing company.

“Amy has a deep passion for OnlyFans’ business and I pass the baton to a friend and colleague who has the vision and leadership to help the organization reach its enormous potential,” Stockley said in a statement from OnlyFans’ new CEO. “OnlyFans is still a new company and Ami brings new energy and reflects who we are as a company.”

The switch entails Jan leaving her previous role as head of marketing and communications behind to “take on the day-to-day leadership” of the London-based company, which currently hosts more than 180 million registered users and more than two million innovators.

“I am proud to take on this role,” she says. “I look forward to continuing to work closely with the creator community to help them increase control over and monetize their content. I will lead an exceptionally talented team at OnlyFans that will provide a unique experience for our creators and fans.”

With an excellent educational background and an early career, there seems to be nothing stopping her. After all, Gan’s latest achievement did not come about out of thin air.

The Beginnings That Made OnlyFans’ Newest CEO

After completing her foundation studies in Mumbai, Gann headed to the United States to further her education. Her LinkedIn post lists her first stop in Los Angeles, the Fashion Institute of Design and Commerce in California. There, she completed her arts involvement in commerce and marketing.

Her persistence is evidenced by the academic decision she made when she was young. that it It is not necessary to have a relevant degree to enter the marketing professionHowever, Gann thought otherwise. The lifelong learner even went on to complete a degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurship Studies from Harvard Business School Online.

This is not all. Jan also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communication from California State University. This culminated in a few months in the PepsiCo Marketing Future Leaders Program.

She was then hired to spend just under two years as the activation and brand communications director for Red Bull Media House in Santa Monica.

Gann has gone on to add to her wide range of notable positions as Director of Communications at Lowell Herb, Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at Cannabis Cafe, and Arcade Agency Consultant.
