Universal College Bangladesh and Monash University Malaysia are set to organize a skills development workshop for Bangladeshi students on “Marketing in the Digital Age,” a press release said.

The free workshop will take place on January 7 from approximately 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon via Zoom.

The workshop will be moderated by Stephanie Cheh, Lecturer in the Marketing Department at Monash University Malaysia Business School.

UCB, the only provider of international education accredited by the Ministry of Education in Bangladesh, offers Bangladeshi students multiple opportunities for career development and skill building along with enabling them to start their career with the help of foreign education.

The following workshop will focus on introducing young people to the basics of digital marketing, the growth curve of digital marketing over the past years, how it is integrated into most of our digital experiences these days, and how they can learn to use future digital technology. Effective marketing tools to enrich their portfolios and competencies.

Stephanie Cheh is a researcher who has observed the transformation of industries due to integrating digital marketing closely and is passionate about exposing their complexity in the simplest way to the future generation of marketers. She holds a BA in Business and Commerce in Marketing and a PhD in Industrial Marketing from Monash University Malaysia, and her research interests are in the areas of business marketing, industrial networks and sustainability, especially renewable energy.

Sandeep Anantanarayanan, CEO of STS Group Bangladesh, said that “in this rapidly transforming digital age, one has to have some basic understanding of market trends and communications that occur via digital means. We are constantly browsing digital content, and consumers – especially young people – need to understand the marketing aspects of it aggressively for their own good. The University of California is pleased to partner with Dr. Stephanie Sheah to help aspiring students gain a better view of marketing in the digital age. Participants will receive a certificate of participation from Monash University Malaysia and Universal College Bangladesh.

There will also be a question and answer session with the Monash University faculty to make the event interactive and successful.
